Aloha!! So sorry that I’ve neglected you guys the last few days!! During my Hubby’s weekend (Wednesday and Thursday), we were busy working on our farm (container garden). So since time with him is precious, I decided to take a break from blogging and not stress over it! Then yesterday, I was busy working on our farm again, once he left for work!
Didn’t realize how much WORK goes into farming a container garden!! It takes a lot of TLC to start from seeds! No WONDER so many places sell starters! 🙂 We can’t wait to taste the goods from our container garden! Boy, is it taking off!! I’ve decided to try organic gardening, so we’ll see how that goes! If any of you out there got advice for us, we’d gladly take it!! 😀
So far, our garden contains:
Cucumber (this particular one is arguable the best cucumber available for pickles, which is the ONLY way my Hubby would eat them!), Carrot Baby, Cilantro, Tomatillo, Edamame, Green Beans, Basil, Mesclun Sweet Salad Mix, Pepper, Green Onion, Lavender, strawberry (this was actually started from plants that were already started) and Heirloom Tomato. I know, pretty ambitious!! But we had NO idea how many would germinate, or how many plants/produce we’d actually get from one seed!! So needless to say, we have a TON of containers outside!! My Hubby is also trying to grow some flowers (Zinnia, Marigold and Dahlia).
I’ll definitely start taking pictures to share with you all!! We are thinking that our container garden might start to get out of hand! Anybody want to come and help us eat any of it?! 🙂
